- Baruch of Medzibozh (Baruch of Tulchin)
- (1757-1810)Ukrainian Hasidic tzaddik. He was the grandson of the Baal Shem Tov, and regarded himself as the heir to his leadership. He held court in Medzibozh in a luxurious fashion and aroused the opposition of other Hasidic leaders. He believed the tzaddik could save the whole world. He was the first to institute payments to the tzaddik from the Hasidim.
